The Village Gardens Park Ridge is a well established community - it has been in existence for 35 years and many of the residents have lived there for over twenty of them.  Park Ridge is situated on the Mt Lindsay/Beaudesert Highway: there is an excellent shopping centre, medical facilities and hotel in easy walking distance from the Village Gardens.  Buses go from the gate to the much larger shopping complex at Browns Plains where there are places to eat, an excellent library and cinema.  A courtesy bus is also run by the Village to this complex.  Brisbane city buses leave from Browns Plains.  For those wishing to visit the nearby RSL with its entertainment and restaurants the Village Gardens is in the pick up loop for Thursdays through to Sundays. Many people in the Village own their own homes where they live on a permanent basis, vacancies very seldom occur.  At the moment we are building four only 2 bedroom houses with their own external covered area for a car and separate outside concrete block suitable for use as a laundry and/or tool shed. They are well built to the highest specifications and at the same time bright, airy and easy to clean.  The are a good size for one or two people.
